Midtown Business Improvement District (MBID)

Midtown BID is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization formed to serve the Midtown Property and Business Community in Long Beach. The primary objectives and purposes of Midtown BID include:

  1. To bring about the revitalization of the Midtown business District of City of Long beach.
  2. To bring about the investment of private and public capital within the Midtown Business District, City of Long Beach.
  3. To bring about the increase provision of quality public improvements within the Midtown Business District and its surrounds for mutual benefit purposes.
  4. to bring about the increased economic well-being of residents, employees, and businesses within the Midtown Business District, City of Long Beach and its surrounds.
  5. To promote improvement within the Midtown BID, City of Long Beach through activities which contribute to the economic and neighborhood well being of Midtown Business Improvement District, City of Long Beach.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Monthly Community Clean-up

 

MBID is proud to partner with Midtown Neighborhood Association, Conservation Corps of Long Beach, and Litter Free Long Beach to organize the first Saturday of the month community clean-up in Midtown BID: Home of Cambodia Town.

10th Annual Cambodia Town Culture Festival

MBID is proud to co-sponsor the 10th Annual Cambodia Town Culture Festival on Sunday, April 8 at Mark Twain Library. Thousands of people and elected officials, including Congressman Lowenthal, Mayor Garcia, Councilman Supernaw, and Councilman Andrews  attended the event. There were food, merchandise and information booths, traditional performances, and procession of  King Suryavarman II.

 

 

AOC7 6th Annual Literacy Fair

The Literacy Fair is organized by AOC7 to promote reading and give free books to the children in the neighborhood. Over 500 people attended the AOC7’s 6th Annual Literacy Fair on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at MacArthur Park.  The  event started with pledge of allegiance  and introduction of AOC7’s members and sponsors. Over 300 children from the neighborhood received free books and gifts. There were games, raffle, drum team, music, and magic show for the attendees.

The  Mystical-Magical-Yoshi-dini  entertained the children with his balloon animals and magic tricks at Midtown’s booth. After he ran out of balloon, he mystified them with his magic tricks.  AOC7 did an  excellence job organizing such an important event  and Midtown BID is proud to sponsor t-shirts and food for the volunteers.
