Anaheim Business Corridor Clean-up

Cambodia Town Neighborhood Association has been formed by a local resident. The founder is a recent graduate from the Neighborhood Leadership Program and was inspired to apply what she has learned into our community. Their first clean-up took place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 starting from 9:00 AM at Junipero Ave and ending at 11:00 AM at Cherry Ave.

Community Garden

Mark Twain Library is in the early stages of having a Community Garden.  Last month in September, the preparation process took place where Community residents and Volunteers collaborated clearing out the shrubs surrounding the library.

As of October, the formation of Neighborhood Action Committee is in progress.

Those who are interested to be part of the NAC are more than welcome to reach out to Jennifer Songster.

AOC7 6th Annual Literacy Fair

The Literacy Fair is organized by AOC7 to promote reading and give free books to the children in the neighborhood. Over 500 people attended the AOC7’s 6th Annual Literacy Fair on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at MacArthur Park.  The  event started with pledge of allegiance  and introduction of AOC7’s members and sponsors. Over 300 children from the neighborhood received free books and gifts. There were games, raffle, drum team, music, and magic show for the attendees.

The  Mystical-Magical-Yoshi-dini  entertained the children with his balloon animals and magic tricks at Midtown’s booth. After he ran out of balloon, he mystified them with his magic tricks.  AOC7 did an  excellence job organizing such an important event  and Midtown BID is proud to sponsor t-shirts and food for the volunteers.
